Privacy Policy — CueHeroes
CueHeroes ("the app", "we", "us") is a snooker match-scoring and community app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices. CueHeroes is operated by the developer of naazware.com. If you have questions, contact support@naazware.com.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide: full name, username, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash — we never store it in plain text), and optionally a phone number.
- Gameplay data: matches, frames, breaks, fouls, statistics, tournaments you create or join, and head-to-head results.
- Social data: friends, friend requests, match invites, and activity you generate.
- Push notification token: a device token (via Expo / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you match and tournament notifications.
- Technical/log data: basic request logs needed to operate and secure the service.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or payment/card information. Any tournament "entry fee" shown in the app is informational only — we do not process payments.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
- To run matches, tournaments, rankings, and social features.
- To send transactional emails (email verification, password reset) and push notifications for events such as match invites and tournament updates.
How information is shared
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Data is shared only with the service providers that run the app on our behalf:
- MongoDB Atlas — database hosting.
- Render / Fly.io — backend server hosting.
- Upstash — live match state (Redis).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Expo & Google Firebase (FCM) — push-notification delivery.
Other players can see your public profile (name, username, level, stats) and the results of matches/tournaments you take part in.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account (see below), we delete your personal data; anonymised or aggregate records (e.g. a past opponent's match record) may be retained where required for other users' history.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access tokens are short-lived.
Deleting your account and data
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time:
- In the app: Profile → Delete account (if available in your version), or
- By email: send a request from your registered email address to support@naazware.com with the subject "Delete my account".
We will delete your account, profile, and personal gameplay data within 30 days.
Children
CueHeroes is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
